Maybelline Haul!

 Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Argh, I'm really spending too much money, and I'm really supposed to tie the purse strings from now onwards because I have a really huge expenditure coming up! :( But still, I couldn't resist the good deals that I got from the Maybelline Roadshow over the weekend. You might have seen advertisements on the Maybelline roadshow from Nuffnang ads... I know that I found out about it from the ads too! From another blogger, cos my own Nuffnang ads are all alcohol-related. Dunno why a beauty blog gets alcohol ads also. Lol!

Anyway, everything at the roadshow is on 20-50% off! And there are tiered rewards too. Like if you spend above RM20, you get a 40ml bottle of their Make Up Remover. If you spend above RM50, you get both the make up remover & an eyelash curler. Above RM80, and you get those two items, plus a hair & make-up makeover with a photography session (you get an A4 portrait after that). Lastly, above RM120, you get all the above and a Maybelline bag.

Ok, I don't know why I'm telling you all this because the event is over. Trollolololol. :)

This was what I got :
a. Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Smooth in Pink Blossom. I was thinking of getting the peach color one but the SA convinced me that this color is more obvious, the peach one more mute. I had been thinking of getting this, but I have so many lip balms that it's ridiculous. Like, I have unopened lip balms in my collection! But this was on 20% discount, so grab only. :)

b. Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry. Guess what? I haven't even opened the one I got earlier. It is really still in it's box! So why did I get another one? Cos I read many great reviews on Baby Lips, plus the awesome SA let me SMELL each lip balm! In Watsons / Guardian there are no samples, so I always wondered about the scent. I got Smoothing Cherry because it's a very light and sweet cherry scent, different from my existing Nivea Cherry lip balm. I am glad I didn't get the berry one because it's too sweet for me! I would've bought the berry if I didn't have samples at the roadshow because I reckoned that I already have a cherry lipbalm and want something else. :)

c. Bought the Pure. BB Mineral BB Mousse, which is a weird product that I won't go near IF I didn't get to sample it at the roadshow. At the roadshow, I got to try first hand how it can instantly smoothen your skin + leave it breathable (like you can really forget you have anything on your face!) and anyway it was the main thing they were promoting during the roadshow. :D

d. Maybelline Magnum Volume Express Mascara for super lengthening & thickening... actually, I just need a mascara cos my Maybelline XXL mascara is finishing. It was a pretty good mascara but it's "old technology" compared to what a lot of brands are saying they can do for our lashes nowadays.

So I got the make-up remover and the eyelash curler which was awesome because I threw away my RM5 eyelash curler during a room spring-cleaning session recently. And the make-up remover is super useful cos the SA told me that you can put that into your gel eyeliner to revive it! No need to boil your gel eyeliners anymore! Apparently all you need is ONE drop of make-up remover to "melt" the gel eyeliner again. But keep in mind that both my gel eyeliner and the make-up remover are Maybelline brands. I'm not sure if inter-brand mixing will work!

My boyfriend was super super reluctant to let me go for the hair + makeup makeover. Mainly cos it takes 15 minutes to do your hair and another 15 for make-up. And he said that the portrait session looks cheap (cos so happen when we were just checking it out, there was an aunty they made to do a rather admittedly cheap pose... had to lean forward as if showing off cleavage and was holding a scarf / boa thingy...). After much nagging, he agreed to let me do just the hair & make-up, if I don't take the photo in the end. T_T

And then at the very, very ultimate end... I didn't get the make-up done because I noticed the make-up artistes didn't take off your initial make-up. So what's the point right? And I had quite a full face of make-up on that day. But I got my hair makeover, which is actually not so "makeover" (not drastic difference), but I think it looks quite sweet! I like it, but Tron said he's not used to seeing me with my hair down. Lol! What do you think? :D

Vaseline Healthy White Skin Lightening Lotion

 Monday, November 28, 2011

This is the 2nd type of lotion that I'm using for the Vaseline skin care range. The first one was the aloe vera which was soothing but not very moisturising. Now, I'm using the Healthy White Skin Lightening Lotion.

To be honest, I'm quite confused about this product. Is it supposed to be moisturising as well, or only supposed to be a "skin lightening" lotion? If it's purely for whitening ,then I regret buying it as my goal is not to wear stuff to make me whiter, and I'm more concerned with getting properly moisturised skin. I thought that the skin lightening is an additional bonus on top of the moisturising. No wonder I don't get the ultra moisturised feeling that I get with body butters or stuff from Palmer's. The "moisturised" effect doesn't last very long, though I can still smell the product on my skin.

To me, this product smells pretty "medical", so I don't really like it. In fact, the first time I used it, I was quite disgusted with the smell, but as always, I got used to it. The product claims to achieve radiance within 2 weeks due to their active whitening system that contains :
a. Vitamin B3 to help bring out natural fairness of skin
b. Triple sunscreens to help prevent further darkening
c. Yogurt serum to help provide moisturisation and nourishment to the screen.

For optimal results, you are supposed to use it twice a day. I only use it once a day, as a daytime moisturiser. So far, though I have not seen "radiance", I do think my skin tone is more evened out. I also think that it is quite effective as a sunscreen, as I had to do some charity work under the sun on Saturday, and I couldn't find my sunblock. Decided to use the Vaseline product. Though I did not get burnt in the sun, I really do not recommend following what I did. This product is not a sunblock, and therefore, is not suitable for doing such a job. I sweated profusely because my skin did not find this so "breathable". You know how icky it feels when you're sweating madly and there's a thin layer of product on your skin? It just makes you feel extra hot! This doesn't occur when I used my Avene sunblock last time.

Still, I'm grateful for it for doing the best it could in a tight spot.

Will not repurchase this item because I'm this item is concentrating more on whitening than on moisturising (though there are elements of moisturisation in it). Also, because it doesn't smell good.

Pond's Clear Solutions Anti-Bacterial Facial Scrub

 Sunday, November 27, 2011

After finishing my last bits of the Neutrogena Deep Clean (which I didn't really feel was that deep cleansing), I started using Pond's Clear Solutions Anti-Bacterial Face Scrub. I remember buying this from Watson's because they were having discounts + a Pond's-related contest. :D I guess I didn't win the Pond's contest, but I'm glad I bought this face scrub, because it's really, really good!

If I remember correctly, it costs about RM16 for 100g tube. Not sure if this is before or after discounts. But I think it's really worth it because :
a. you *really* get that "deep cleansed" feeling using this!
b. just a tiny bit of product is required to produce chokingly THICK foam. It feels DELICIOUS against your skin!
c. micro-exofliating beads (in the same color as the bottle cap!) included as well, to really get the scrub in

After using it, I don't see myself breaking out as much. Either that or my facial has been working wonders on my skin! ;) The only bad part is I would say that this doesn't smell very good. Too clinical for me, but I've gotten used to it anyway. Best part? Leaves my skin feeling moisturised, fresh and squeaky clean!

Cellnique Intensive Hydrating Complex - Skin Saver #4

 Friday, November 25, 2011

This is my final-final instalment of the Skin Saver series. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I was a bit ashamed that after Skin Saver #1 - #3, I still got bad comments from the consultant doing my facial at Lissage de Beaute. There was still a patch of dry skin on my face that would not go away, even when I used tea tree oil / vitamin e oil / masks. For masks, it would temporarily be moisturised, but within 24 hours revert back to normal. I don't have any pictures to show you how bad it is because you can't really SEE how dry it is. You can only FEEL it with your fingers.

The consultant gave me this product to try, and I'm really, completely SOLD. It is AWESOMENESS in a little bottle. Enter : The Cellnique Intensive Hydrating Complex.

This is really just a sample bottle that she gave me to try on the dry patch. After the facial, she asked me to test on my hands (as she had applied sunscreen on my face). I could feel that the liquid got absorbed really quickly and left the back of my hands feeling softer. However, I was not completely sold as the back of my hands aren't as dry as the dry patch on my face!

That night, I applied the Intensive Hydrating Complex on the dry patch (just a little bit!) and believe it or not --- NO MORE DRY PATCH THE NEXT DAY! This is a freaking miracle product!!

The magic ingredient is actually something that we gals frequently hear - hyaluronic acid! This one is supposed to be super concentrated, so maybe that's why it works so fast? I'm actually wondering if I use my other products that contain hyaluronic acid, would it still give me the same results?

Anyway, you really need to use only a itty bitty bit each day - I only have a 3ml sample, but I'm still using it til today! Everyday I just apply at areas that I feel require more moisturising, e.g: the corners of my mouth, my chin. It's a really good product all in all.

So for those of you suffering from really intensely dry skin, I recommend this product! Not sure about the price though, but Cellnique is more of a paramedical type of treatment, and not really a drugstore treatment. I would expect it to be over RM100 for a full-size bottle. If you go for a facial at Cellnique-approved places, they generally give you free samples after each facial, so ask for one, just to try it out! :)

Champagne Nail Cocktail by Beauty World

 Thursday, November 24, 2011

One of my purchases from Watsons in Singapore, and is something that I've been interested to try - gradient nails! I saw something similar in Sasa before - Hello Kitty gradient nail polish (only two colors though) and it was around RM35. In contrast, this is about RM15, and it has THREE colors. I've not heard of Beauty World before, nor "Champagne Nail Cocktail", but the colors looked quite nice. Heck, for RM15 for 3 small bottles of nail polish, I was willing to experiment! :P

By the way, this was the only color combination on the shelves, but I think it's quite nice. It's like a pinkish-nude, bronzey-brown and golden sparkles.

Instructions on the back of the package, but it's quite a no-brainer. Put the lightest shade all over your nails. The darkest shade goes on like a french manicure on the tips (but you don't need to be so precise, because the sparkles are then randomly applied in the middle of the nail. And then ta-da... gradient colors on your nails! Sweet!

The first color I used is the pale nude-pink, and one warning : this nailpolish is DAMN smelly! The chemical smell is SO strong. ~_~ And the nail polish was very watery, so when I finished, the results were pretty streaky. And it takes quite a while to dry, but then again it never did say it was quick drying. -___- I guess I've just been used to all those quick-dry formulas that I've gotten over-pampered. :)

It was quite annoying that because it was pale and streaky, and I had to wait sooo long for it to dry just so I could apply a second coat. Someone kill me, whatever made me think I was patient enough for gradient nails?!

Hardly noticeable, right?

Next is the bronzey-brown shade, that looks not so nice in the bottle, but comes out very coppery and shimmery. I like! Don't have to be too neat with the application as it's not very noticeable once the golden shimmers are applied all over it!

Lol, I'm lazy and I skipped right to the last picture, with everything fully applied. It doesn't look that "gradient-y" at first because everything is applied so thickly, but as time goes on, and the shimmers drop off, then a more natural gradient appears.

The one AMAZINGLY good thing about this nail polish is that it is so super long lasting. I've painted this two weeks ago and IT STILL HASN'T CHIPPED OFF! It's insane! When I rub my toenails, I feel like there's such a thick and solid layer of nail polish on top of the nails! Good for lazy people like myself who hate repainting nails over and over again. Anyway, it took so long to put on, it's a good thing that it also takes so long to come off! :D

Mr & Ms Dappy Foot Mask

 Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Ok, as mentioned, I was curious about this "Foot mask" thing ever since I read an advertorial on Cheesie's blog. I got this when I was in Singapore (for about RM60), and have not seen something similar in Malaysia. Take note that the brand I found is called "Mr & Ms Dappy", which is different from the brand that Cheesie advertised. However, based on the box and the diagrams, it seems like it's the same thing, so I decided to have a go at it.

Personally, I think it's GOOD to have all the skin on your feet peel off, because unless you regularly attack your feet with a pumice stone, normal exfoliation just can't cut it. I have a few spots around my feet that have such hardened skin that if I pull it off, it's just going to bleed or something. I mean, have you seen Black Swan? Who dares to go around yanking their skin off after that?

Personally for me, I decided that I wanted to get "baby soft skin" feet again after reading a short story by David Sedaris where he described his sister's own feet as "hooves". I think that with all my stamping around (sometimes without shoes... in the office), I have started developing hooves too. :( Though my feet don't look that bad in the photograph below, trust me. There are a lot of hardened bits and it annoys me!

The darkened parts of the skin are the hardened parts... (don't mind the weird foot, it's like that due to too much high heels).

This really looks too deceptively smooth. Trust me, it ain't. -__-

So this is Mr & Ms Dappy to the rescue. The box looks like this :

Mr & Ms Dappy to the rescueee!

Based on the box, after using their foot mask, your feet's hardened skin will only start peeling off within 5-7 days. It can be up to 2 weeks before everything is finally peeled off. This kinda annoys me because if I can gauge WHEN the skin will start peeling, then I'll start using the mask in order to time the peeling to be on the weekends (so that I don't scare my colleagues away, being that I wear sandals to the office). You get what I mean? Anyway, I guess this differs from person to person. To be honest, I don't like the wait either. Because I can't tell whether the product is working or not! Being a negative person, when my skin didn't start peeling immediately, I almost chalked it up to being conned, and wanted to write an angry blog post about how I had just wasted RM60 to soak my feet in silly plastic bags.

But I got ahead of myself. The product says that you have to remove all nail polish before using it, so here's my bare feet, ready to be wrapped :

What is inside the box:
And what is inside that little foil packet :
Read the instructions before putting it on. These are some expensive one-off shoes yo. Anyway, it's quite simple really. Just cut along the dotted line, be sure not to spill the essence inside the plastic "shoes" (there is quite a bit of essence inside the bag), slip it on and wrap the shoe up.

This part I have beef with! How to wrap the shoe nicely like in the diagram? Totally cheat people wan, there's nothing to stick it together and obviously it doesn't slip on nicely like a sock. So I had to use cellophane tape, wtf? And because I walked around, the cello tape would rip off, and then I have to stick it on again. Either that or sit still and get needles and pins in my bum-bum. No thanks! I think the product should come with some self-adhesive parts... they are already charging RM60 for it. Can improve the product design a bit!

Directly after the foot mask (this one only needs to be worn for 60-90 minutes. I wore for 90 minutes just to be extra sure... just in case my skin is too thick and needs extra absorbing powers), I could see my skin is a bit wrinkly looking. You might think it's natural because I've been soaking it in water for 90 minutes. But this wrinklyness didn't go away so easily. My feet also felt a bit strange... a bit unnatural. Can't really put my finger on the exact feeling, I just guess I wasn't comfortable in my own skin? Hahahha.

However after that, there was no skin peeling. Very disappointed. I checked everyday, oh-so-eagerly.. until on the 5th day, at night... I noticed that my skin had started peeling! I was so excited! And though the product recommends NOT to peel it off by yourself but to wait for it to naturally fall off, I was so itchy hand-ed and I kept peeling it off. I was quite sad that I couldn't get to pull off large pieces of skin, but it kept breaking off by bits. *lol* And there is no pain involved. I could just tug and tug until it break off, it's not like those case where if you try and tug, you can actually feel physical pain and you know if you keep at it, you are going to BlackSwan yourself, hahaha.

Ok, the next few pictures are going to be quite gross, but I find it madly fascinating :
FYI, the skin is STILL peeling, but this time, it's the top part of my feet. However, since the skin is more delicate & thinner on the TOP part of the feet, it is not as visible. People generally cannot see the skin peeling, unlike when it was at the soles of my feet. I hope that you plan to be anti-social and foreveralone when it's at the max peeling stage, because otherwise... it's just going to be sooooooo embarassing. My boyfriend saw my feet (I didn't tell him about the mask) and he backed away in horror saying, "You got some skin disease now ah?" Lol, I really don't blame him!

And when I went for a facial, they gave me a different pair of slippers to wear around the facial parlor. When I took off the slippers, I was so horrified to see bits of skin stuck to the cotton slippers. Some more the slippers were BLACK in color, so my skin was so jarringly obvious against the black background. So embarassing. You wanna know what else was embarassing? When I was on the bed getting my facial done, the dried peeling bits of my feet scrape against the bed sheets and make scritch-scratch kinda sounds. Lol! The facial consultant must've known about my "diseased" feet, but she very professionally ignored it. Though she did make so much comments on my face though (since THAT is part of her job).

Still, this was a pretty cool product to try out. Though it recommends treatment once a month, I don't think it's a necessity. I love how my feet feel though, so I'll probably do a foot mask... once every 4-6 months or so? It's only really fun when you've gotten it all hard and callous-y and then you magically peel it all off. :) Ahhhh...

Collection of skin peelings on my desk, lololol.

P.S : probably an essential product for those who love giving footjobs, wtf.

Honey, I Washed The Kids Soap

 Tuesday, November 22, 2011

I decided to use the Honey, I Washed the Kids soap from Lush even though I have a few shower gels in my toilet already! My friends know I love soap so much that they even buy it for me as a present on my birthday!

So, this is one of the biggest best seller at Lush, and it's easy to see why. Was so eager to start using my soaps that I bought a brand new soap dish. Here's my stuff, ready to be transported into the toilet.... *jeng jeng jeng*

I have such a huge chunk of soap that I can't close the soap dish, hehe!

This soap smells almost sickeningly sweet when it was still in the wrapper. A bit of an overkill, although it perfumed my room pretty well. :) However, it is not that strong in the shower, and leaves a very nice, sweet scent lingering on your skin when the shower's done. This soap is made with honey water & caramel, so that explains the extremely sweet scent. Lush also proudly advertises that the soap is made with 4 different types of honey. And REAL honey, not some fake synthetic stuff. This is the Real Deal right here, yo.

I really do enjoy using this soap because it lathers well, it smells great in the shower, and the honey is veryyyy good for sensitive skin like mine. Whenever I feel like I'm about to break out in a rash, a good time in the shower with Honey, I Washed The Kids will leave my skin soothed and happy again. Any red rashy-ness that had threatened to appear will be gone without~a~trace. Amazing!

It is also supposed to be super moisturising for your skin, but I have not particularly felt that. All I know is that this comforting fragrance is wonderful for showers when I've just come home after a long day at work. It feels so warm and fuzzy, totally lovely. However, this also means that it's more suitable to be used at night than in the morning. In the morning, I want total perk-me-up shower gels! Stuff with ingredients that contain citrus oils, mint, etc!

My main hang-up about this soap is that bright yellow thing you see on the soap itself. I just found out that it's beeswax and is supposed to increase the visual appeal of the soap. I don't know if I'm supposed to peel it off or not. It's difficult to scrape off and unlike Demon in the Dark, whereby it is also covered with dark wax, it was practically a must to scrape it off as nothing gets done with the wax covering it, lol. But it was easy to peel off for that soap! This one is pretty hard, and though it is annoying, it doesn't bother me too much. The worst part is just that it leaves my skin feeling "squeaky clean". Like I can see water droplets resting on my skin... hahha..

In case you are wondering, the natural and wonderful effects of honey for your skin are as follow:
a. Honey’'s ability to absorb and retain moisture helps keep skin hydrated and fresh and prevents drying.
b. Honey's natural antioxidant and anti-microbial properties help to protect the skin from the damage of the sun's rays, supports the skin's ability to rejuvenate and refresh depleted skin, leaving it feeling silky soft and supple.
c. Honey absorbs impurities from the pores on the skin, making it an ideal cleansing agent.
(Thanks to this webby for the details!)

No wonder Cleopatra always bathed with milk & honey!

Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette

 Monday, November 21, 2011

One of my first purchases from Sephora, and my first purchase from Too Faced. I love cute packaging, and though some may think it's a bit too OTT looking (most prefer simple, sleek designs), I like it! To be honest, I liked the Too Faced palettes so much that I was thinking of getting both the Romantic Eye and the Naked Eye palette. But then I decided to hold out for the Urban Decay Naked palette instad.

Aside from Romantic Eye and Naked Eye, they also have Smokey Eye and Natural Eye. To be honest, I think Naked Eye and Natural Eye sounds similar right? Why the differentiation?

If I remember correctly, I think this set me back about RM128. But I have no regrets buying this palette because of the following reasons :
a. very little fallout when applying the eyeshadow - this is important to me because my eyes are VERY sensitive to fallouts. It will itch and "weep" like crazy.
b. nice colors, suitable for all occassions, not just "romantic" occassions
c. nice size, suitable for travel. Do not need to think about what to bring- just pack your Romantic Eye palette!
d. I love the "how to" guides that come with the palette. Check it out :
This is how the palette looks like on the inside :
Close up of the colors :
The largest amounts of eyeshadow are for the all-over eyelid wash + for highlighting. The middle ones are the main color and the ones on your right-most are for the contour-ing / deepening of colors. For me :
Day look : soulmates + i do + un-veil is suitable for any normal look. Suitable for the office & with more un-veil, you can even get a smokey eye look out of this!
Classic look : kiss the bride + cut the cake + first dance is the most "romantic" look out of all 3. It is very sweet and girly, oozes feminity. Suitable for the weekend and dates with the bf!
Fashion look : bouquet toss + honey moon + ever after is really a glam night look. It has the most glitter and shimmer out of all 3 "looks" and gives a very metallic finish. Love it for nights out!

Of course, you can mix and match ~ get creative. But somehow I have fallen into the trap of following just what the product tells me to do. :)

Day Look

Classic Look

Fashion Look

I know this doesn't REALLY ultimately show off the colors so well, but trust me, I'm not a make-up artist / photographer, so up-close it ain't going to showcase the palette off to the max. All I can say is that I love this palette enough to consider buying more Too Faced palettes in the future...

Lipsmacker x Paul Frank Lip Balm

 Sunday, November 20, 2011

Thanks to Yuberactive once again for giving me a chance to review nifty products! This month, I'm reviewing the Lipsmacker lip balm from the Paul Frank collection. The flavor that I received for review is Julius's Coconut Cream. Even when I've just gotten the product from the post office, I was really excited, because ... it's coconut! I love coconut flavored stuff!

My lips are usually terribly chapped, and I always prefer using lip balms to lip glosses. One gets the same moisturising effect, but without the stickiness usually related to lip glosses. Your hair doesn't get stuck to your lips when the wind blows, and your boyfriend generally prefers that you DON'T kiss him with lip gloss on. :x So I'm really a lipbalm fan all the way!

The packaging is really cute - together with the coconut cream fragrance, it really brings to mind visions of going to the beach!

To be honest, the first time I smelled the lip balm - I didn't really like it. Was too overwhelmed, because I was expecting a light coconut scent. Something light, subtle, and fresh. This is more like... coconut milk or coconut oil. It's heavy, thick and if you have an aversion to such things, best to try another "flavor". For me, I grew to love this lip balm, and can't stop "smacking" my lips together cos it became so yummy to me. :D

Check out how dry & chapped my lips are! :(

Lipsmacker to the rescue!

I look like I'm about to eat the lipbalm! Well, it smells delicious enough to be eaten! :P

It is also super moisturising and quite long lasting (until you have a meal, then it disappears). This is good and bad in a way. Good because hey, long lasting! only need two swipes to get the job done! The bad part is that I like to apply lip balm on my lips, hahaha... so since it's so long lasting, I don't get the chance to constantly reapply. Hahaha!

For RM12.90, I find this a pretty good buy as it is similar to the cost of most lip balms in drug stores. I actually went to Watsons to find out if there were other flavors from Lipsmacker and I saw they have Coke / Sprite flavor as well! Omg, can't wait to try those...~~

Mini Haul Update

 Saturday, November 19, 2011

Some more stuff I couldn't help but buy. In this case, I really couldn't help myself... my boyfriend practically left me alone in Guardian for an hour! I kept on browsing and browsing and after a while, I felt obliged to buy something since I had been there for so long. The security people kept looking at me!

Got myself the Maybelline BABY LIPS in Energizing Orange for RM9.90, and a black kohl liner from Rimmel for RM15.90. Sometimes, all you really need is a good lipbalm & eyeliner to look good enough to go out anyway. :)

Last Cellnique Facial @ Lissage De Beaute

 Friday, November 18, 2011

Went for my final facial at Lissage De Beaute (from the package I had purchased in the middle of the year). It had been a good experience with this facial center, and honestly I am very tempted to buy their current package which is buy 5 facials and they give you 4 free sessions. And each session comes with 1 free eye treatment (so you get 9 free eye treatments). But the problem is that the cost of this package is RM905. O_o" Although it can last me nearly a year, I feel the pinch to spend almost a thousand bucks in one go!

Plus, I've been spending a lot recently. Been bitten by a shopping bug, and everything looks attractive. Like, feel like buying so much office clothes when I was shopping around in Parkson today. And it's ridiculous because my office doesn't even require us to wear formal office wear. So buy for what? And I wanted to buy the latest Calvin Klein Forbidden Euphoria just because you'll get a nice CK tote with it. Sheesh! I am getting more materialistic!

Anyway, the facial itself was previous experiences, but got a darn chatty consultant this time. Want to sleep also cannot. Maybe because she started off analysing my skin, and she was freaking horrified. Lol! Cos she said that there's a very dry patch on my cheek and asked me what happened. Told her about the allergic reaction case to the Biotherm product, and she suggested me to go to the counter and demand why the heck it happened. She said she would help me do some extra pampering around that area AND be careful not to extract stuff there. Was quite happy with her at that moment.

She only annoyed me at one part, where she told me that she had to extract a lot of stuff on my forehead, and asked me that next time when I wash my face I have to be more diligent to clean around that area. -___- It made me feel like a gross pig... hahaha. Cos I do wash my face (obviously!). And I've been trying so hard to get my skin back on track ever since the adverse reaction to the serum. -_____- And the way she said it was like lecturing a small kid. Sigh... anyway point taken. Maybe I just need to SCRUB extra hard there next time. =(

Dunno whether she clumsy also or what, but she has propensity to rest her hand over my hair, which of course, hurts. And at the end of the session, I found out that she spilled some mask into my hair, so there were dried bits there. -___- She's the ONLY consultant who did that. -___- She was also the ONLY consultant who did not give me free eyebrow trimming. Heh...

Anyway, I still really like Cellnique products, cos my skin always gets MUCH better after the facials here. It's not just nice smelling products, but they are paramedical products, which means their products can heal your skin. I really need that at the moment! I am in a quandary whether to go back and buy the package! But maybe I won't do the current facial I'm doing (which concentrates on blackhead extractions). They have other types of facial, such as multivitamin masks, active whitening masks, etc. You just have to tell your consultant what you want to achieve through the facials, and they will find the package most suitable for you!

I've blogged more thoroughly about the products they have used in this blogpost, so you can check that one out if you're interested. Most of the products that they use can be sold at any Cellnique registered salon, but stuff like the mask that they used at the end of the treatment (The main mask which I love so much) is actually in powder form and solely FOR SALON USE ONLY. Sad that I can't buy it!

Another reason why I decided not to buy the package is because I bought my fave cleanser & toner from the facial today... so hopefully will get the good results I get from using my Cellnique stuff.. just that I won't get so pampered. *sob*

The Fresh & Healthy Set consists of the Seaweed Cleansing Gel (with Algae & Pennywort Extracts), Soothing & Hydrating Lotion (with Ginger Root extract) and 5 pieces of their Intensive Hydrating Silk Masques. The consultant also gave me a tiny sample of their Intensive Hydrating Complex and told me to use it over my overly dry skin areas. She let me try on my hands and it absorbs really fast and oh my! After that the skin feels so soft like a baby!! :D

Before facial :
Totally no make-up and Photoshop.. ish, looks so bad right!

But I think I look worst after the facial! Cos the consultant took some sharp thing and prod all the red spots on my forehead. And it looks so angry & red in the above picture. :O The only thing she praised is that my cheeks are clear and smooth. Lol! Anyway, I'm not worried about the red spots cos they always do this as part of the extraction process. It doesn't stay red for long and after that I generally have good skin for up to a month! (Then it's time to go facial again...)
