The Lust List : Filthy Farmgirl

 Thursday, May 3, 2012

I saw this product in a Vanity Trove box some time ago, and it's honestly the only item that really caught my eye thanks to the cute / hilarious packaging + soap names. I just love stuff like this. I don't even know how the soap smells like or whether it's any good, and I already want to buy 10 pieces of the stuff. Of course, the main problem is that it's not sold in any store in Malaysia, and shipping is pretty pricey. :( It's like almost equivalent to the cost of the soap to ship from Hawaii (where it is made) to Malaysia. There's a Singaporean site that stocks Filthy Farmgirl, but they charge 150% of the original price, so it adds up to about the same. A little pricier as I haven't even factored in the shipping from SG to MY. *sniff sniff*

The soaps are handmade and contain natural ingredients --- it reminds me so much of Lush products. I can't wait to try one! The problem is that I can't make up my mind which one I want! They all look so awesome! On their website, they divide the soaps into 54 "master" scents - spicy, floral, minty, sweet&mild, garden&woodsy and citrus. They have a separate page for new flavors, which also include their lip balms.

Here's my lust list for items from Filthy Farmgirl (to be honest, I go by the packaging / general scent I like, and only then do I read the description! ;P). If I lived in Hawaii, I would try every single one of their products!

1. Filthy Farmgirl Uber Super Duper Aloha : contains the most local ingredients found in Hawaii, including hibiscus, kukui nut, noni, coconut, holy basic, passion glower and lots more that I can't name! It looks like such a fun & happy soap ...

From the ingredients, I have a feeling that it's going to be a very moisturising type of soap!

2. Filthy Farmgirl Awesome Blossom - sounds crazy floral, and the site says, "an elaborate floral  blend, overflowing with flower petals and blossoms stirred in as the soap cools. Gentle and sensuous."

I think the heady floral scent would be wonderful aromatherapy in the hot shower, and the scent would be a delicious aphrodisiac!

3. Filthy Cowgirl Lavender Rose Dreamland - "As the sun goes down over the mesa it feels so good to slip out of my boots and into the bath. I savor every sudsy second and take my sweet-ass time!"

An awesome visual write-up from the site that makes me feel like I'll come out from the bathroom feeling like a goddess after using this soap. Plus, it has two of the most "traditionally never-fail" floral scents - rose and lavender! I think you just can't go wrong with this combination.

4. Filthy Farmgirl Tuberose Sweetgrass - I've always heard about "tuberose", a supposedly intoxicating floral scent that seduces the senses. However, I don't think I've ever actually smelled it before! With this soap, I can have it allllll over me... :)

"As delicate as dew wafting in the moon light, or the hum of sweet springtime filing the evening air as you slip out of the bath like a queen of the night."

5. Filthy Unicorn in Enchanted Wonderberry - ok, I just realised that all the ones before this are all Filthy humans, but yes, even animals are not spared! Hahaha, they have a lot of hilarious soaps which relate to animals, and yes, some of them are double entendres, as I will show you later on. ;)

The enchanted wonderberry is filled with acai berry, cherries, gogi berries, raspberries and blueberries. Sounds awesome, I think I've never used such a berry-filled product before! :)

"Our unicorns, Sparkle-Muffin and Twinkle-Nose just love rolling in rainbow mud. Normally they loath taking baths, but once they see this special soap, they can’t resist galloping’ into the tub for a delicious scrub! "

6. Filthy Surfer - is a mix of lime peel, dried grapefruit peel and coconut. Most of the stuff from their citrus range is mixed with orange. This is fine with me because I'm totally a fan of the fruit with the same name as its color. However, after using my Lush Happy Hippy, I'm looking forward to more GRAPEFRUIT stuff as well. So this one fits the bill perfectly! :)

7. Filthy Pussy - Mmmm, now this is just the cat's meow isn't it? The Filthy Pussy soap is a mix of mint and rose, which I found quite interesting! Floral, yet peppy.

"I’m not like those other kitties…When I get all wet and soapy I just purr and purr!"

8. Filthy Farmgirl Rowdy Rosemary - from the grass & woody range. I didn't think I would find anything I would fancy from this range as it would smell too... manly, I suppose? However, I love rosemary (when cooking! Hahaha!), and I love the product description for the Rowdy Rosemary. It just sounds so energetic and insane, haha.

“When I fill my lungs with this soap’s hot eucalyptus steam, scour my hide with the organic cornmeal scrub, and feel that Rosemary rush, I get so frisky, I could wrassle a bear!”

“Sometimes when I’m really feelin’ my oats I grab a bar of my fine Rosemary soap. It gets me a-whoopin’ and a-hollerin’ like a Rodeo Queen on the Fourth-O-July!”

9. Extra Filthy Super Cock - When there's a Filthy Pussy, you know there's a Filthy Cock. Oh shoot, so many bad words in this entry, it's probably not going to pass many internet filters. :)

This is a peppermint soap that I think my boyfriend would love as well. It's apparently STRONGER and LONGER LASTING than before. ;) It's better than before and SATISFACTION GUARANTEED. Hahahaha... leaves you with TINGLY SENSATIONS.

Does this get you a little hot under the collar?
10. Filthy Vampire - a blood orange and pomegranate mix. Again - it's so unique that I just have to try it. To be honest, reading these descriptions make me think that the soaps will be awesome to EAT.

Filthy Farmgirl, why are you so tempting, goshdarnit.

"Warning: May Attract Vampires, Do not use alone after dark."

11. Filthy Farmgirl Cheeky Ginger Citrus - A 100% citrusy soap, filled with pink grapefruit, oranges, lemons and ginger! I read somewhere that they actually have chunks of ginger inside and that one just dropped out in the middle of her shower. Haha, 100% natural indeed.

“When I’ve been fixing the tractor, and mucking out the barn, there’s nothing like a good citrus scrub to get the grease off my paws.”

“The fresh-sqeezed flavors of sweet Orange, Pink Grapefruit, and Italian Lemon quenches my pores and the Ginger really gives
my skin a healthy zing!”

12. Filthy Hooker - I love soaps with a bit of texture to them so that you can get a good scrub as well. This is the only soap that I sorta kinda like from Filthy Famrgirl that fits the description - it has ground oatmeal in it!

Other than that, it's basically honey based, and so far all the honey type of shower stuff that I've used has always been awesome. Have high hopes for this one, really.
13. Filthy Cowgirl Buckle Bunny Blossom - ok, I admit it.. I was really attracted to the packaging, but the more I read about this soap, the more interesting it sounds. Mainly floral based, it contains all kinds of lovely scents like gardenias, roses, calendula, honeysuckle, blue cornflowers, hibiscus and top that all off with mandarin essential oil!

I think it must smell heavenly! :O

14. Filthy Tiger Chai Smoothie Lip Balm - and yes, they have lipbalms as well! I just chose this one because it's the most interesting one. They have also banana, raspberry, cinnamon peppermint and coconut! It's USD$4 per tube, or USD$30 for a pack of 10.

It's obviously madness if I really buy 13 soaps (+ 1 lipbalm!) in one go, so I'm really trying to whittle down my choices before I decide to make a purchase. At times like this, I really hate how much I have to pay for shipping! If you're in the States, lucky you cos it's FREE shipping for you then! :( At least they give additional free samples for purchases over USD$12. :) In case you're wondering about pricing, it's currently USD$8 for a large soap and USD$3 for a small one. Things get cheaper when you buy in bulk, which is probably why they also promote wholesales.

You can check out more from their website FilthyFarmgirl.com . Obviously not sponsored by them as I am not a big-time blogger. :P Just sharing some interesting stuff I found that I am thinking of buying..
